This web development course will give you the skills to design, build and maintain websites for customers using the latest web technologies.

You will learn how to build beautiful responsive sites for clients, working to industry standards using cutting edge web technologies. The skills learned will enable you to work either independently or as part of a web team. You will work through all stages of a web development project including liaising with a client, designing, building, testing and deploying a responsive website.

Use the knowledge you gain to build your own website, or you can work independently or as part of a web team to build sites for clients.


Course Overview

During this qualification, you will work through all stages of a web development project including:

  • How to liaise with a client on project scoping and briefs.
  • Web design fundamentals.
  • Building and coding a website.
  • Testing protocols.
  • Deploying a mobile responsive website.
  • Use the knowledge you gain to build your website, or you can work independently or as part of a web team to build sites for clients

Admission requirements.

Entry to this course is limited to those who have:

  • Literacy, Language and Numeracy Online Assessment: At a year 12 level or equivalent
  • A Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate with bachelor’s pass or;
If you do not have Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate then you may be able to apply for conditional exemption Mature age applicants, without a school leaving qualification, may apply for conditional exemption.

Course Duration (2 Years)

The nominal duration to complete this course is 24 months.

As this training is competency based, completion dates can vary from student to student however will not exceed the nominal duration.
